CEZ Distribution Bulgaria’s project for bird protection was nominated in the annual European Business Awards for 2018. The European Commission will award projects to companies that have made significant contributions to sustainable development.
Nominations are classified into six categories: Management: micro & small businesses; Management: medium and large companies; Products and services; Process; Development of cooperation for the country; Business and Biodiversity. The project ” Conservation of threatened birds trough retrofitting of hazardous overhead powerlines in Natura 2000 sites in Western Bulgaria”, (LIFE16 / NAT / BG / 000612) competes in the category “Business and Biodiversity”.
The winners of the competition will be announced at a ceremony organized by the European Commission and the Austrian Ministry for Sustainable Development, to be held in Vienna on 14 November 2018.
