In the period October 3-4, 2019, representatives of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB), a partner of CEZ Distribution, participated in an international conference on nature conservation in the project “Life for Birds”. The event took place in Tbilisi, Georgia, within the framework of the Young Leaders for Nature Conservation project, funded by the EU Erasmus + program and implemented in partnership between BSPB, the Georgian Wildlife Conservation Society (SABUKO) and the Turkish Society for the protection of birds (Doğa Derneği). The conference was organized by the project’s lead partner – SABUKO. Representatives of Doğa Derneği, the Global Youth Organization for Biodiversity and Nature Conservation GYBN, the German International Cooperation Organization GIZ, WWF Caucasus and others participated in the event.
During the conference, BSPB participants presented the activities of the project “Life for Birds”, which aimed at securing risky power lines, installing 900 White Stork nest platforms, and developing a national bird-safe pillar standard.
